ABOUT THE FESTIVAL
"Skopje Summer" was founded in 1980 and is one of the most significant summer interdisciplinary cultural events in Macedonia. The festival takes place every year from June 21 to July 31 and combines music, theater, dance, film, literature, visual and multimedia arts.
Through more than four decades, "Skopsko Leto" has built a recognizable platform for cultural dialogue, international cooperation and promotion of domestic and international artists.

The 47th edition of "Skopje Summer" in 2026 continues the tradition of a summer, urban and multi-genre cultural program in Skopje.
The current program unites different artistic disciplines and creates a space for domestic and international authors, performers and audiences to meet.

Tonight, starting at 20:30 at the Faculty of Fine Arts - Suli an, a photography exhibition titled "Saint Sophia - The Light of Silence" by the world-famous Izet Keribar and Mehmed Ozcay will be opened.

At the Faculty of Fine Arts - Sulyan evening at 8:30 p.m., a photographic exhibition "Hagia Sophia (Istanbul) - The Light of Silence" by the authors Izet Keribar and Mehmed Ozcay will be opened. The event is realized in cooperation with the Turkish Cultural Center "Yunus Emre" in Skopje.

The jazz ensemble Next to Silence will hold a concert the night before (July 9) in Suli an, from 8:30 p.m., as part of the Skopje Summer festival. The concert will feature music that the group has recently recorded, which has not yet been released on an album.
